31 Weeks

Thursday marked 31 weeks.  Baby P is so much fun!  We're getting really excited to meet him/her!! The baby moves like crazy and is especially active at bedtime.  I think Baby P knows daddy's voice because when it's really quiet and daddy is waiting for a kick, every time he talks, the baby lets him know he/she is listening!  I've been having some interesting dreams.  Most of the time the baby is a girl with dark hair. So, in that case, we'll probably have a boy with blond hair!  I'll be elated with any combination:)

Here is a 31 week bump photo.

Note the kitten in the corner of the photo.  Poor thing, she's still having "accidents."  We're thinking it's because she had a bladder infection earlier in the summer and we ran out of her special food so she got it back again.  She's back on her bladder control food and taking her antibiotics again.  We've not had any "accidents" for about a week.  Hopefully it is just that.  Unfortunately I think we'll have to make a really tough decision soon:(

Overall, I've been feeling pretty good.  I can't really stand the heat so I stay out of the inferno that is Iowa weather.  The humidity is just about unbearable.  I have what they think is a heal spur so I wear my flip flops around the house 24/7 because the hard tile and even the carpet kills.  The last few weekends we've been doing some serious house preparation for the baby's arrival...I was exhausted yesterday going up and down the stairs.  I'm so out of shape it makes me sick.  I've got a long road ahead of me when I can start working out again! Tomorrow is another doctor appointment!  I'm not convinced that baby is head down.  I'm thinking more along the lines of either all over the place or sideways.  I'll be interested to see what they have to say!

This spring I posted some photos of our bedroom and how it was in major need of an update.  Well, here's the final product!!  It's been done for quite a while, I just hadn't posted it yet.  Yes, that is a ginormous photo of...well, me and some of Patrick.  In my defense, I was picturing it to look a little different than that but the way it wraps around the canvas, you can't even see most of Patrick.  We kept it and will forever laugh at how silly it is.  Our grandchildren will have quite the photo of us some day!!  Overall, I'm really pleased with the room and we find ourselves going to bed much earlier than before because it's just so darn cozy!
