33 and 34 Week Bump updates

Here is a 33 week picture:
And a 34 week picture:
I feel like the baby may have dropped slightly because I'm certainly able to breath a little better.  Or, it could be that the humidity has dropped significantly.  Either way, I seem to be breathing better and that's all the matters!
We had our 34 week appointment yesterday and they did the hemoglobin check.  Anything above 11 is good and I was 12.8...gotta love the Iowa beef!  The heartbeat was perfect too.  I still feel like the baby is sideways because there is a definite lump on each side of my belly.  The doctor was 90% sure the baby is head-down and he thought the one lump was butt and the other was appendages (more specifically knees).  If at my 36 week appointment, there is still a 10% chance the baby is not head-down, they'll check me and if that's still not showing 100%, an ultrasound will be done.  Pray that this little tike is down where he/she is supposed to be!  I'm not thinking that a version procedure would be much fun at all.

Some random tidbits:
 - Why is it that when you're pregnant, people feel they have the right to stare you up and down and down and up unlike they ever would if you didn't have this big 'ol belly?  I don't mind it if they smile at me, but when they don't have any expression, I'm completely weirded out by it.  You do NOT have the right to stare at a pregnant lady as if she just dropped in from another planet without at least giving her the courtesy of a friendly smile as if to say, "you really look like a blimp but it's okay, you're growing a human in there."
 - I was walking to my car from Subway yesterday and a man pulled up and rolled his window down and said, "how much longer do you have?"  I told him 6 weeks and he replied with, "My wife is due in November." and he drove off....okay, that's good to know.
- In the mall yesterday a woman approached me and said, "are you having a boy?" I said, "we don't know, we didn't find out, why, does it look like I'm having a boy?"  She said, "Oh, I think so" and proceeded to tell me her sister's birth story (and this woman was at least 50 years old).  Wow, again, I guess that's good to know.

In other news, our first shower is tomorrow and I am excited!!!  I'll update on that later:)
