This weekend, Patrick had his MBA graduation. He has been working at it for a few years and it was a long road but he made it! Congratulations!!
The commencement ceremony was in Coralville at the Marriott on Friday morning.
We had quite a few supporters come to help him celebrate!
Patrick's parents (Chuck and Cathy), his sister (Cris) and brother-in-law (Mike) and their 2 boys (Caiden and Connor) were there!
My mom and dad (Pat and Bill), my grandma (Delores), and my sister-inlaw (Betsy) and their 2 boys (Jacob and Ryan) made it too!
It was a beautiful day. We went downtown for lunch. Patrick opened gifts.
And mom and Jacob were able to fit in a toothpick sword fight. I don't quite know who was more entertained....Jacob or mom!!!
Then, it was off to the park for cake! Betsy did a fantastic job decorating a Hawkeye-colored cake for Patrick...thanks, Betsy!!
Patrick's brother and sister-in-law (Daniel and Erin) flew in from Chicago on Friday afternoon and we had a wonderful time celebrating with them as well. I didn't take any more photos, which I'm now regretting. We went to the Farmer's Market and then Cris, Mike and the boys joined us for grilling on Saturday for lunch. We headed to the park again and then Chuck and Cathy joined us. Then, we went out for dinner on Saturday night downtown. Whew, it was a busy one but we had a ton of fun! Thanks to all who made it so special for Patrick:)
